How to Criticize a Research Report


In reading, analyzing, and criticizing research reports; (1) you should analyze the appropriateness of the research problem, and consider the consistency between the research title, research objectives/research questions, and research scope. Then, (2) study the important research methods, namely, Sampling design; using the sampling techniques, Measurement Design; using valid tools to measure any variables, and statistical design; using statistical methods to answer the research objectives [Analyze whether all three Designs are appropriate or not]. Finally, It should be summarized that the research has weaknesses, strengths, or good practices that future researchers should collect in their minds as a good example for the future.
